Apple has been based in Cupertino since 1977. Its headquarters, Apple Park, opened in 2017 on a former Hewlett-Packard campus: a four-story glass ring about a mile in circumference, set among thousands of newly planted trees. The ring itself is closed to the public, but a visitor center across the street has a rooftop terrace with a view of it.
